I Hate Art

 There is such a wide spectrum of art types and categories today, that it is impossible to like all kinds of art. Additionally, to understand some of the modern art philosophy, you need to go deeper into its goals and assumptions. I personally prefer when art speaks for itself, without any explanation. However, the older I get, the more types of art I begin to understand and appreciate. This is what happened with conceptual art, which I initially did not like and understand. I also think that in my case it is not about hating some art, but rather lack of interest in a given field of art. 

As an example I will use modern fashion, which sometimes is just useless. Clothes are designed in such a way that, apart from the catwalk, nobody will probably wear such strange, uncomfortable things.  I do not talk about whole fashion, but some parts of it.

Location-Port Praski

 I chose Port Praski ( Praski Harbour ) as the location for my building. During my visit to Liverpool I was fascinated by Albert Docks . When I started working on my final project, I linked my experience from visiting Albert Docks with Port Praski in Warsaw, which recently undergoing renovation of the whole site. It is a river port on the Vistula river in Warsaw, the Capital of Poland, in the Praga-North district. The port was built in the area of the Vistula river glacier valley and at the beginning (before the second world war) it was called the New Port. In the interwar period, three port basins were built. The port  was used for cargo loading and as a winter port. later the cargo handling functions were taken over by the Port Zeranski. Until 2012, there was a water station in the Port Praski, which was built in 1885, and it was then used as a floating marina for steam boats.  The port performed its function until 1963, when a new port Zeranski was put into use.
